    If you hook a sawfish: -Keep the sawfish in the water at all times -Remove as much fishing gear as safely possible -Cut the line as close to the hook as possible -NEVER remove the saw.

    Please report all sawfish sightings to Florida Fish and Wildlife at sawfish@myfwc.com. or or 941-255-7403.
    Be sure to include date and time of encounter, location (GPS coordinates if available), the estimated length of each sawfish including the saw, water depth, and any other relevant details. If you have pictures of the sawfish, please include them in the email.
